Eldredge Room is somewhat of a homecoming for Chef Toby Hill, whose mother’s maiden name is the restaurant’s namesake. Chatham has been populated by the Eldredge family since the 1600’s, with Hill’s ancestors being some of the area’s earliest settlers. Hill dreamed for many years that he would be able to honor his mother, who taught him how to cook when he was growing up, and he could not imagine a better place to do so than in the town where the Eldredge family created their legacy.
